Filled with a mixture of cosy seating, including a lovely window seat in the turret, this room provides the perfect setting for any gathering. An open fire adds warmth and comfort during the winter months of the year.

Games Hall

situated on the first floor this is a spacious area with TV and pool table and provides an ideal area for playing or relaxing whilst still being a part of the house. There are lots of classic board games, jigsaws, toys and books here too.

The Games Hall also forms a natural division between bedrooms Jura and Islay and the other bedrooms on the first floor useful for those who have small children or for teenagers.

There is a quiet reading nook at the top of the stairs to the second floor with amazing views over to the Island of Lismore.

OUTDOOR SPACES

Garden – Blaven has magnificent wraparound gardens, which are still being planted and developed to show the wonderful micro-climate of the area at its best, including many rare and interesting rhododendrons which provide magnificent colour in the spring.

There are seats scattered around the garden in sheltered spots to sit and admire the view, a fenced play area for children and ample parking for cars.

The Fire Pit is a focal point, especially if the evening is a bit chilly and an ideal excuse to indulge in making s’mores.

Note: Some wild and cultivated plants can be poisonous, so best not eaten by children or dogs!
